Optimised Plane Grinding with Aka-Piatto & Rhaco Grit
For hard materials (150+ HV), Aka-Piatto is the best diamond grinding solution, replacing 100–200 sheets of grinding paper while ensuring fast material removal, precision, and edge retention.
For brittle materials, Aka-Piatto+ features a higher diamond concentration, reducing grinding pressure and preventing excessive abrasion.
For softer materials (below 150 HV) or ductile metals, Rhaco Grit grinding paper is an excellent alternative. With Al₂O₃ abrasive (P80–P800), it lasts 2–3 times longer than standard SiC paper, especially in coarser grits. When used with Aka-Rhaco, it eliminates the need for self-adhesive paper.
Available in P80–P220, Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ enable single-step plane grinding, while Rhaco Grit provides a durable, high-performance option for softer materials, ensuring efficient sample preparation.
