Advanced Fine Grinding Solutions
Traditionally, multiple fine grinding steps with progressively finer grits were needed before polishing. However, modern technology allows a single-step fine grinding process for faster preparation.
Aka-Allegran and Aka-Largan feature a unique material removal system, combining integrated abrasives with diamond suspension or spray. This ensures high removal rates, perfect planeness, and exceptional durability, replacing P320–P1200 grit in one step. Their consistent removal rate makes them ideal for automated preparation systems.
Alternatively, Aka-Piatto can be used for traditional multi-step grinding. As it operates with water only, it simplifies cleaning between steps compared to Aka-Allegran and Aka-Largan.
For very soft or ductile materials, traditional grinding paper may still be necessary.
