Precision Cut-Off Wheels for Metallography
Metallographic cutting is a crucial first step in sample preparation, ensuring precise sectioning without heat-induced structural damage. Our cut-off wheels are optimised for metallographic cutting, minimising thermal effects and mechanical deformation for accurate microstructural analysis.
We offer abrasive cut-off wheels in five standard sizes (250–430 mm dia., 32 mm arbor) for laboratory and production use. Thin precision cut-off wheels minimise material loss and deformation, ideal for expensive materials. Our range includes Fe wheels for ferrous metals (~50–60 HRC), a titanium-specific wheel, and one for soft non-ferrous metals.
For specialised materials, we provide diamond and CBN wheels. Options include Aka-Cut 50 HV (plastics), Aka-Cut 1500 HV (hard ferrous metals), Aka-Cut 2000 HV (ceramics, concrete), and Aka-Cut 3000 HV (ultra-hard ceramics, sintered carbides). Additionally, we offer 150 mm precision wheels for fine sectioning.
