Industrial CT for 3D Metrology Analysis
Waygate Technologies newly launched computed tomography (CT) scanner is titled the Phoenix V|tome|x M Neo. It’s a powerful non-destructive industrial (NDT) dual-tube CT scanner that delivers the capabilities of multiple scanners in one compact system. it offers high-resolution imaging, advanced scatter correction, and automated defect detection, making it ideal for laboratories and production environments. It creates 3D images of objects in a similar fashion to a medical CT scan but – in this case – for industrial parts.
The NDT scanner is able to check the composition of materials, components and products without the need for cutting or for invasive procedures. The Waygate scanner is typically used as part of a company’s ‘high end’ quality assurance (QA) operations.
The Phoenix scans can help users detect even the smallest defects in products as part of failure analysis and safety procedures, ensuring safety, reliability and quality standards.
The new equipment has been designed with the operator in mind; improving serviceability, ease of use & sample loading. The equipment was awarded the iF Design Award 2023 – a year that included with more than 4.700 participants.
