Labquip & AKASEL Deliver Hands-On Metallography Training at IMR
Labquip Ireland and AKASEL A/S, a leading provider of sample preparation consumables, were delighted to deliver an intensive two-day metallography training at the Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) facility in Mullingar.
This collaborative course provided attendees—primarily from the medical device sector—with hands-on experience, working directly with their own samples using hot mounting press, abrasive cutter and grinding / polisher from leading supplier Metkon. Covering cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing, the training ensured a practical, in-depth learning experience guided by industry experts.
To maximize value, participant numbers were intentionally kept small, allowing for personalised instruction and deeper engagement. Due to strong demand, we will be running another session in Q4 2025, limited to just six participants.
